Konšak Mihelca

Konšak Mihelca

In her free time Mihelca likes to occupy herself with painting, and a variety of traditional Slovenian decorative handicrafts, most of which she has learnt from her mother. Her oil paintings and wall tapestries reflect her love of nature, and places that are close to her heart. They are mainly Slovenian landscapes, but also places of fond memories in Australia, such as the Opal Mine, where the family lived for a while.

Mihelca lives with her husband Jože Konšak in Queensland. She was born 11 September 1936 in the village Palčje near Postojna, Slovenia. She migrated to Australia in 1958.
